Sugarloaf Mountain Bike Area is a series of 3 loops that can be combined to create trips of varying lengths and difficulties. The trails are well-marked and wide, with only few rocky and muddy sections. A beginner will find the climbs challenging and the descents fun, especially the loop nearest the sledding area. An intermediate rider will want to combine two or more loops, especially the loop around Sugarloaf itself which has the biggest climbs and descents.
Route 381 runs right through Ohiopyle. Sugarloaf Road is opposite the boat launch area, right next to the Boater\\\'s Change House. If you go over a bridge (in either direction) you\\\'ve gone too far. The Mountain Bike Area is a few miles out of town, on the right. If you pass the little chapel and cemetery, you\\\'ve gone too far.
